چکیده
The insatiable demand to optimize and engineer new functionalities in electromagnetic devices has risen their geometrical complexity unprecedented levels. This usually results computationally multiscale problems with some tiny components of great importance the overall behavior these devices. Block meshing is a powerful technique for treating such problems. usage variable mesh size adaptable adequately representing details without exhausting computational resources uniform fine grid entire domain. In addition, block allows use cubic cells only which time step maximum velocity error minimal each subregion. this article, we present mathematical formulation stability dispersion analysis when using transmission-line matrix (TLM) method. These relations permit us compute that guarantee tolerable level numerical dispersion, hence minimizing expenditures. Moreover, study case adopting local demonstrate origins instability may appear case. Finally, experiments are presented show advantages proposed approach TLM meshing. A similar procedure can be used FDTD or FIT

متن کاملRapid Meshing of Turbomachinery Rows Using Semi-Unstructured Conformal Grids
The aerodynamic design of uncooled turbomachinery rows is based, among other things, on the repeated simulation of three-dimensional blade rows with a fast turnaround time. Traditionally blade rows have been simulated using clean aerodynamic surfaces and simplified computational domains consisting of just the aerodynamic surface and an approximated main annulus. A more accurate and realistic re...
متن کاملUnstructured Triangular - Quadrilateral Mesh Generation . Application to Surface Meshing
To start, we recall a mesh generation method, allowing to create a so called unit mesh, which is an extension of the classical Delaunay method in the case where the process is governed via an isotropic or an anisotropic control space. Then we introduce a conversion method from a triangular mesh to a quadrilateral mesh. Furthermore, we describe the generalization of this method to adaptive surfa...
متن کاملLocal dual contributions: Representing dual surfaces for block meshing
In this work we present a tool based on the new concept of local dual contributions for directly representing the topology and the approximated geometry of the dual of a block mesh. This tool allows us to obtain a valid block decomposition of a given geometry without a previous discretization of its boundary. Specifically, our tool is composed of a hierarchical scheme and a set of matching rule...
متن کاملLocal Dual Contributions on Simplices: A Tool for Block Meshing
Our final goal is to automatically generate a block decomposition of a given domain without previously meshing its boundary. To this end, we propose to obtain directly a valid dual arrangement that leads to a block mesh. In particular, we introduce a tool based on the new concept of local dual contributions. That is, given a domain we first generate a reference mesh composed by simplices, trian...
